Operational Framework revisions

Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2004

The Operational Framework was modified by three motions at the FIRST Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 17 June 2004 to produce the current 2004/2005 version. The motions covered:

• modifying the section "Nomination Acceptance Procedures" in order to implement the move towards two sponsors for potential full members;
• modifying the section "Nomination Acceptance Procedures" in order to implement the concept of a site visit during the nomination procedure for membership;
• modifying the section "Participant Profile" in order to implement the move towards a more complete set of mandatory information about Liaisons and Full members.

AGM 2003

The Operational Framework was modified by two motions at the FIRST Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 27 June 2003 to produce the 2003/2004 version. The motions covered:

• replacing the sections "purpose" and "goals" by a process to decide on a "vision and mission statement";
• allowing for an Advisory Board.

AGM 2002

The Operational Framework was modified by one motion at the FIRST Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 27 June 2002 to produce the current version. The motion covered:

• the change of the liaison membership category.

AGM 2000

The Operational Framework was modified by one motion at the FIRST Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 29 June 2000 to produce the 29 June 2000 version. The motion covered:

• the suspension and revocation of members/liaisons.

AGM 1999

The Operational Framework was modified by three motions at the FIRST Annual General Meeting on 17 June 1999 to produce the 17 June 1999 version. The motions covered:

• enabling the use of proxies at Steering Committee meetings;
• enabling the use of proxies at FIRST meetings; and
• the provision of setting and collecting membership fees.

AGM 1998

The 26 June 1997 version of the Operational Framework was modified by one motion at the FIRST Annual General Meeting on 25 June 1998 to produce the 25 June 1998 version. The motion covered:

• the clarification of timings for Additional and Special Meetings.

AGM 1997

The Original Operational Framework was modified by three motions at the FIRST Annual General Meeting on 26 June 1997 to produce the 26 June 1997 version. The motions covered:

• the creation of Additional and Special Meetings;
• add a fifth item to FIRST's Mission Statement; and
• change to voting requirement for ammendments to the Operational Framework.

Adoption of the Operational Framework 1992

The Original Operational Framework was adopted by FIRST on 11 September 1992.
