IIJ was gathering data from its caching dns servers during the recent attack to root dns servers in this February. I will describe the analysis method and the attack effect based on this data. There were response delays and packet losses between our caching servers and root/tld servers during the attack, but it seems the effect for end-users is minimum or ignorable.Yoshinobu Matsuzaki (Telecom-ISAC Japan, JP)
