The Corporate Executive Programme

In June 2005, the Board and membership of FIRST agreed to fund and establish a unique Corporate Executive Programme (CEP) (http://www.globalcep.com).

The aim of the CEP is to bring together cross-functional senior executives with responsibility for decision-making in their organisations. The Programme caters for heads of departments in HR, Finance, Operations, Technology, Security, Sales & Marketing, Research, Logistics, Legal and other key business disciplines in all sectors public and private across all global regions.

The Programme is unique in its concept. It aims to dismantle the vertical silo mentality that plagues corporate life. Our view is that by encouraging senior executives to step out of their comfort zones and engage colleagues in an understanding of each others issues we will provide an environment in which business leaders can begin fully to appreciate the nature of future threats and risks which global organisations will be facing in the years ahead.

The CEP enables senior executives to gain a no-nonsense insight into Board-level thinking.

By joining members will:

• Receive strategic risk assessments and risk-reduction solutions
• Gain privileged access to over-the-horizon intelligence briefings
• Participate in confidential hands-on agendas at meetings limited to 50 executives at a time
• Discuss and share intelligence and insights for risk assessment and management with other Blue Chip enterprises, the military, law enforcement and other government organisations
• Benefit from the interaction and networking with other CEP members and learn about how other organisations are dealing with similar issues
• Contribute to the dialogue and interaction to help create an extensive pool of expertise and knowledge upon which to draw
