The annual FIRST Conference is the only event of its kind. It focuses on the field of computer security incident handling and response. In recognition of the global spread of computer networks and the common problems faced by computer owners, the conference is held in different parts of the world. Past conference locations include Chicago (US), Brisbane (Australia), Monterrey (Mexico), Bristol (UK) and Santa Clara (California, US).



The presentations are international in scope and include the latest in incident response and prevention, vulnerability analysis, and computer security. Additionally, these events serve as the foundation for the improvement of computer security worldwide via the sharing of goals, ideas, and information.

About the Conference
 

The 13th Annual FIRST conference will be held in downtown Toulouse, France. Located in the South Western part of the country, Toulouse is the 4th largest town in France.

The conference will be a five day event, with two days of tutorials and three days of technical sessions including refereed paper presentations, invited talks, and panel discussions.
