The early fee $1,900 US ($1,500 US for members) will be available up until February 27, 2020 18:00 GMT.
If payment has not been received by 18:00 GMT February 27, 2020, registrants will be charged the standard conference fee. This applies to registrants submitting bank/wire transfers, checks, and credit card payments that are incomplete for any reason.
The standard conference fee $2,300 US ($1,850 US for members) will be available after February 27, 2020 18:00 GMT up until April 28, 2020 18:00 GMT.
If payment has not been received by April 28, 2019 18:00 GMT, all non-payment standard registrations will be automatically removed from the registrant database.
Registrations entered after April 28, 2020 18:00 GMT will be considered late registrations. The late conference fee is $2,500 for members and $2,950 for non-members.
The late registration fee must be paid immediately by credit card during online registration. Bank/wire or check options will not be available for late registrations. No discounts of any kind may be applied to late registrations.
The Student conference fee $900 US will be available through the start of the conference.
In order to register as a student, you must email or fax a copy of your student ID and a letter signed by your academic advisor indicating your doctoral or graduate course of study. Email a scan to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to the conference office at +1 312 372 1427.
If you are a confirmed speaker, you will be contacted by the conference staff and the appropriate discount code will be sent to you.
If you are with a confirmed sponsor company, please contact your internal sponsor point of contact for details on your registration discounts. You are also welcome to contact email@example.com if you are unsure of who your sponsor lead is.
There is a processing fee associated with wire transfer transactions. Please note the following fees will be added to your registration invoice:
You must be an official FIRST member in good standing and your email but be registered as a team member. More about FIRST membership here.
To receive the member discount during registration, please select the “Member” type and select your Team from the dropdown. Discount codes are NOT required. All registrant data will be reviewed by the FIRST Secretariat. If it is determined that you are either not a FIRST member, or a FIRST member in good standing, you will be contacted promptly for next action.
GROUP DISCOUNTS EXPIRE April 28, 2020 18:00 GMT. Group discounts are valid on full non-member and/or member registrations only and may not be combined with existing offers or discounts. Group discounts are not applicable on partial registrations, single day, two-day, academic, or speaker rates.
Group discount procedure:
To receive the 20% discount, the group must register during the same registration record. Registrants have the option to add an additional registration once they’ve reach the verification page for each registration. The 20% discount will automatically be applied to the total amount due for records containing three or more registrations. No code is necessary.

The annual national CSIRT meeting will immediately follow the FIRST conference on Friday (June 26) and Saturday (June 27) at the Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth hotel. This meeting is by invitation-only and requires approval by the CERT Division of the Software Engineering Institute.
Please note that the registration process and fee for this meeting is separate from the FIRST conference. Further information about this meeting can be found at https://resources.sei.cmu.edu/news-events/events/natcsirt/index.cfm. Invitations to attend this meeting will be distributed in February 2020.
If you need to apply for a visa, please APPLY EARLY.Participants are encouraged to apply approximately 12 weeks in advance of their departure date to ensure they receive the visa in time. Conference participants requiring a letter of invitation to attend the conference should contact the events office at email@example.com after submitting their registration and receiving a confirmation in email. When submitting your registration, please select a 'Pay Later' option such as Bank/Wire or Check in order to process your registration without payment. The information submitted during your registration will be used to create your letter of invitation.
This procedure aims to assist participants who need to obtain a visa or permission to attend the conference and is not an official invitation covering fees or other expenses.
A letter of invitation does not imply any financial support from the conference.
For physical copy rush requests, FIRST reserves the right to charge an administration fee of $75 US to cover expedited shipping fees.
All letter of invitation requests are vetted prior to approval.
Canada does not have a visa office in every country so it is important that delegates visit the website of the Canadian visa office responsible for processing their visa application. Information is available on the website on how to submit a visa application and the documentation required.
Processing times for visa applications vary depending on the visa office and the time of the year.
Depending on your nationality, you may be required to give your biometrics:
Starting July 31, 2018 the biometric requirement becomes mandatory for nationals of Europe, Middle East and Africa, and
Starting December 31, 2018 the biometric requirement becomes mandatory for nationals of Asia, Asia Pacific and the Americas.

As of November 10, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization(eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada.Exceptions include U.S. citizens, and travelers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent residents are not eligible to apply for an eTA.
