Call for Papers!

Announcing the call for papers (CFP) for the next annual FIRST Technical Colloquium (TC) in Amsterdam, Netherlands: March 5-7, 2024. The CFP will close on Feb 1st.

Our theme has always been Incident Response.

The call for papers is now open! Note this will be an in-person event. There will be no virtual talks - only send an abstract if you can be there in-person.

The TC will be a plenary-style conference held on the 6th and 7th of March 2024 at the W hotel in downtown Amsterdam, Netherlands. In addition, we will host an optional free workshop on Monday, March 5th.

The idea behind the TC is to encourage security teams and talented researchers to share their technical work in a friendly environment. We encourage anyone who has not spoken at a conference before to submit a proposal. We can help you with your submission preparation, content creation, and talk. Local talent is welcome from anywhere. Please note that FIRST does not cover travel and other expenses; we cannot sponsor visas or invitation letters. This is a free conference; we cannot sponsor travel or other honorarium support.

We are interested in new ideas and presenters. We welcome any new ideas, techniques, case studies, or incident and threat response research. We are interested in how teams walk through actual security incidents. Some other suggested topics are:

All talks must be 45 mins (including time for Q&A). For your submission to be reviewed, you must submit using the EasyChair form and provide ALL of the following information:

Our goal is to have the program on the event website early February. To that end, please have all submissions completed by February 1.

Speaker Privileges

Media/Blogger

We would like to have a semi-official blogger for the event. We want the individual to listen and blog about the presentations. Please send your @twitter or preferred social network handle and a little about you if interested to amsterdam-tc@first.org #FIRSTAMS2024

Important Notes

FIRST does not allow presentations to gain the audience's interest in any commercial application, solution or product. In other words: NO MARKETING PRESENTATIONS.
