Below are some of our most frequently asked questions pertaining the annual conference. Please feel free to send any additional questions or concerns to events@first.org.

When is the 2026 FIRST conference?

The 38th Annual FIRST Conference will take place June 14-19, 2026, in Denver, Colorado, USA.

Where will the 2026 FIRST conference be hosted?

All conference activities, unless otherwise indicated in the program agenda, will take place at Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Centrally located in Downtown Denver.

Does FIRST have a hotel room block available for conference participants?

Yes, FIRST has reserved a block of rooms at the Sheraton Denver for conference participants. Please see the Venue & Accommodations page for a booking link.

Will there be translation services available?

Translations services will not be provided. The official language of the conference is English.

Is there a dress code?

FIRST does not enforce a specific dress code, but asks all conference participants to keep their attire respectful and in line with the FIRST Code of Conduct.

Will there be a mobile app?

Yes, FIRST will publish a mobile app that will contain all conference materials including the program agenda.

Will FIRST stream sessions and post TLP:CLEAR recordings to their YouTube channel? And when?

Live streams of TLP:CLEAR content are tentatively expected. Applicable fees and viewing information to will become available closer to the event dates. FIRST will publish all TLP:CLEAR recordings to the YouTube channel roughly two months post-conference. FIRST - YouTube

Will there be printed agendas?

Printed agendas will not be provided. The conference agenda will be available through the mobile app, and a printable PDF version will be accessible on the event website for those who prefer a hard copy.

How do I apply for continuing education credits (CPEs or CEs)?

Conference participants are responsible for submitting their own credit hours to their certifying organizations. In-person attendees will receive a post-conference email containing Continuing Professional Education (CPE) details. CPE accreditation will not be provided for virtual participants.

Do I need to pre-register for sessions?

No, you do not need to pre-register for conference sessions that take place Monday through Friday.

Do I need to pre-register for Sunday pre-conference social activities?

No. All pre-conference social activities such the Hackathon, Newbie Session, networking meetings, and welcome reception are free to all conference participants and do not require an additional registration or fee.

I want to attend Sunday Training. Is there a fee?

Yes, there is a separate fee to participate in FIRST's Sunday Training. Training is a standalone activity, and attendance at the full conference is not required. You may register for training online using the main registration form, where options for both standalone training and add-on to your conference registration will be available.

What is "TLP"?

If you're unfamiliar with the Traffic Light Protocol (TLP), please visit https://www.first.org/tlp/ for details. Within the context of the conference, TLP levels specifically indicate whether press coverage, social media sharing, and photography/videography are permitted. You do not need an invitation to attend a TLP:RED session if you are a confirmed, registered delegate.Please see the Registration Terms & Conditions: Photography or Recording Usage by Attendees.
