Call for Papers (Submission Period Closes December 21)

This is an open call for submissions for the 2024 FIRST Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Conference, April 15-17, 2024. The event will be hosted at the Mercure MOA Hotel in Berlin, Germany and is open to FIRST members and non-members. The program consists of three full days: one day of concurrent workshop tracks and two days of plenary sessions. The event is open to FIRST members and non-members.

TLP:CLEAR proceedings will be live streamed and recorded. No press will be admitted.

Speakers may stipulate that their sessions be treated as confidential and all attendees are expected to respect this. Breaches of the FIRST Code of Conduct (including failing to respect the confidentiality of certain sessions) have consequences.

Call for Papers

FIRST is seeking speakers that would like to present on topics related to Cyber Threat Intelligence including:

How can you tell if your organization's CTI program is working well?
Finding the needle in the haystack: how do we prioritize effectively?
Failing forward: share case studies that highlight failures and/or successes of using CTI.
Operationalizing CTI: effective or innovative tooling/technology for protection, detection, response, and CTI support.
Overcoming CTI integration challenges in your SOC.
CTI creation, enrichment, and refinement tips and tricks.
CTI in context with digital forensics.
Intelligence tradecraft wasn't invented yesterday: applying classic intelligence approaches to CTI.
CTI deep dives into specific threat actors.
CTI 101 operationalization: intelligence requirements, threat modeling, collection management.
Structuring CTI teams and career development for CTI analysts.

Call for Workshops

FIRST is looking for workshop submissions related to the above topics. There are multiple full or half-day tracks to be filled.

Speaker Privileges

Authors of accepted presentations will receive a complimentary registration pass. Limit two per accepted presentation. *Please take this into consideration when submitting the total number of authors.

Workshop presenters and assistants of accepted workshop sessions will receive one complimentary registration each.

Complimentary registrations are non-transferable.
