Cybersecurity Communications SIG

Mission

Communications, both internal and external, is an essential piece of incident response, awareness, and readiness. While the FIRST community has a lot of technical groups solving problems, there was not previously a (public) group to discuss communications.

Goals & Deliverables

At the broadest level, our goal is to have a communications-focussed group from around the world to share ideas and achievements.

Short term goals include:

standardised terminology;
standardised translations from English; and,
a database of acronyms, initialisms and technical terms.

Longer term goals include:

networks for sending international alerts;
contact list in different business sectors;
a shared resource library (similar to A4 project).
