FIRST CORE
A global network of capable and trusted partners represents a key foundation for incident response and the core of the FIRST community. FIRST CORE seeks to spread the value and expertise created in collaboration with the global incident response community to improve security.
FIRST CORE is our new sponsorship program to help FIRST:
- Foster Community
- Improve Operational capacity across the globe
- Build Resilience across the digital ecosystem
- Empower incident responders and their teams
FIRST CORE provides critical funding to expand FIRST’s Community and Capacity Building Program (CCB), which focuses on developing incident response capabilities in regions where resources are limited. This program builds on FIRST's long history of education, training, and knowledge sharing within the international security community.
Through the support of the FIRST community, FIRST CORE, and other initiatives and CCB supporters, FIRST is already delivering a wider ranging Community and Capacity Building program. Learn more about some of the initiatives we are delivering at CCB Initiatives.
As CORE grows, it will support key capacity building priorities, including:
- Developing new and updated incident response training content
- Subsidizing local training costs for lower-income partners
- Enhancing Suguru Yamaguchi Fellowship Program opportunities
- Establishing a network of regional liaisons and mentors
- Tailoring wrap-around capacity building initiatives
- Maintaining sustainable back-end support for CCB activities
