AGM Update

The Annual General Meeting was held on June 15th 2026 during the annual conference in Denver, Colorado.

The results of the election were announced:

Serge Droz (Liaison, CH), Carlos Leonardo (CSIRT-RD, DO) and I (Olivier Caleff (Liaison, FR) were re-elected, Mona Elisabeth Østvang (mnemonic, NO) was re-elected after a year's absence and Logan Wilkins (Cisco) was newly elected to the Board of Directors for the term 2026-2028.

Michael Hausding (SWITCH-CERT, CH), Carlos Alvarez (ZeroFox, US), Tracy Bills (CERT/CC,US), Yukako Uchida (JPCERT/CC, JP) and Graciela Martinez Giordano, (LACNIC, UY) will continue their 2025-2027 terms.

Following the election the board appointed Michael Hausding to continue as Treasurer and I am extremely honored and excited to serve as the Chair of the FIRST Board of Directors for a one year term.

The results of the various bylaw changes were also announced.

  • Motion 1 - “Responsibilities of the CFO and Treasurer “
    Passed

  • Motion 2 - “Change in the name of the "Liaison Member" to "Individual Member"
    Passed

  • Motion 3 - “Reduction of the number and change of the terms of board members”
    Failed

As Motion 2 passed, I switched from “Liaison” to “Individual Member” above, while presenting the results of the Board election.

The board has started to review these results and will communicate with the membership in due course.

The board discussed and made a number of modifications to the roles and responsibilities of Board members. [LINK: https://www.first.org/about/organization/directors] Along with all the FIRST Board of Directors, I want to thank our outgoing Board members: Nadia Yousef (CISO Lens, NZ) and Audrey Mnisi Mireku (Ghana Association of Banks, GH), for their hard work, dedication, and leadership provided over the terms they completed.
