Qatar CERT (Q-CERT) is immensely pleased to host the forthcoming FIRST Technical Colloquia on 1st December, 2019 followed by one day of training (2nd December, 2019) in Doha, Qatar.
The FIRST Qatar TC coincides with STAR 7, Qatar’s National Cyber Security Drill exercises that is hosted annually in Doha, and is participated by critical sector organizations based in Qatar.
STAR-X Exercises: This is the seventh edition of the National Cyber Exercises and is expected to see participation of about 100 companies this year. The theme for this year’s exercises is Defending the Nation – Know Your Adversary. The exercises will be a simulation of tightly integrated Process and Technical scenarios.
The key objective of the Cyber Drill exercises being to educate the participants about the importance of understanding the threats in context of the threat actors. The risk to an organization from a particular threat will vary depending on the threat actor who will realize this threat, as the capabilities of the threat actor vary. Further the participants need to understand how to evaluate and analyze credible and needful information from the plethora of threat intelligence reports that are produced and circulated.
We would to invite experts from around the world to present their papers on the subject of “Know your Adversary”. The experts may present papers on but not restricted to the following topics:

There is no fee to attend the FIRST Qatar TC, please note there will be limited seats for the training in a first-come, first-served basis.
Training Session are ONLY for FIRST Members, Representatives from Government Sector and Critical Sector Organization. Due to limited seats, only two registrants will be selected from each organization.
