Information on Ljubljana and Slovenia in December 2025

It is very easy to get around in Ljubljana. As the city centre is relatively small, you can simply walk it or rent a bike.

To get to other parts of Ljubljana you should use public transport like the city bus system or a taxi.

December is a very vivid time in the old part of the city. From a Christmas market on both sides of the river and in the old town to street musicians and concerts. You decide to explore the old town on your own and go up to the caste by foot or with the funicular, or you join a city tour guide.
