The 2021 FIRST & AfricaCERT Symposium for the African and Arab Regions will be held online December 7-9, 2021. The virtual symposium will be co-hosted by AfricaCERT and TunCERT.

Participants are expected to be comprised of global FIRST Member Teams and CSIRTs from the African and Arab regions. We also expect to attract network operators, anti-abuse teams, and other security professionals from the African and Arab regions. The event will be presented in English.

Call for Speakers & Trainers | Submission Deadline September 30

We are seeking experienced individuals and teams who can effectively share their professional expertise among a global community of incident response and cybersecurity professionals.

The 2021 Annual FIRST & AfricaCERT Symposium will take place (virtually) on December 7-9, 2021 with plenary sessions held on December 7 from 11:00-16:30 UTC, with trainings on December 8 and 9 from 11:00-15:00 UTC.

The symposium will be virtual and presented in English. The call for speakers is open to the global community at large, however, ideal candidates are those actively working within the region, or have recent experience working within the region.

Registration Information

Registration is free for training and plenary. Plenary registration is open to all applying; training opportunities are closed and limited.
Registrants applying for training will be vetted and contacted once they are confirmed to participate.
