2023 FIRST & AfricaCERT Symposium: Africa and Arab Regions

Kigali, Rwanda | February 28-March 3, 2023

The 2023 FIRST & AfricaCERT Symposium for the African and Arab Regions will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda over the dates of February 28 through March 3, 2023. Co-hosted by AfricaCERT and the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA) of Rwanda.

Participants are expected to be comprised of global FIRST Member Teams and CSIRTs from the African and Arab regions. We also expect to attract network operators, anti-abuse teams, and other security professionals from the African and Arab regions.

The event will be available in hybrid format with in-person and virtual admission available. Sessions will be presented in English with French translation services available.

The recommended event dress code is business formal or smart casual.

Program Overview

Training activities are scheduled for February 28th and March 1st with FIRST plenary sessions taking place on March 2nd. AfricaCERT will host a closed, invitation-only meeting on March 3rd.

Call for Speakers and Training - Now Accepting Submissions!

The symposium will be presented in hybrid method with in-person and virtual admission offerings. Sessions will be presented in English with French translation available.

The call for speakers and training is open to the global community at large, however, ideal candidates are those actively working within the region, or have recent experience working within the region.
