2026 FIRST Regional Symposium Latin America & Caribbean

Mendoza, Argentina - October 21-22, 2026 - Co-located with LACNIC 46

FIRST Symposium will be co-located with LACNIC 45 – LACNOG2026 and co-hosted by LACNIC and CERT.br/NIC.br

The conference will be held in hybrid format.

Attendees are expected to be comprised of FIRST members, CSIRTs from the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) Region that are not members yet, plus network operators and security professionals from the LAC region.

Remote interpretation service will be provided for the conference day, translating Spanish-English. In-person attendees will have the option to use a translation headset.

Call for Speakers

We are seeking for colleagues interested in presenting during the FIRST Symposium (FS).

Some suggested topics are as follows:

• Case studies and lessons learned in incident handling
• Use of threat feeds for incident response, workflow, and policies
• Practical security monitoring, threat detection, and analysis
• Tools, trends, and security technologies in the LAC region
• Cloud Security & Incident response
• Incident response in the AI era
• How AI improve incident response
• DNS, IPv6 and routing security and best practices
• Digital forensics applied to incident handling
• Malware analysis, anti-virus evasion, etc.
• Security and IoT
• Impact of data breaches, privacy and data protection regulation on incident handling
• Incident response tools, trends and security technologies

Deadline: 23 August 2026

For your submission, please, the following information must be provided:

• Title
• Brief Summary (Abstract)
• Presenter's Name, Affiliation, and short Bio
• Estimated Time (30 - 35 mins) for presentation proposals
• Presentation format: online or in-person
• TLP
• Language: SP, EN

Presentations in-person are preferred.
