About Symposia
The Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams, Inc. (FIRST) organizes themed regional symposia throughout the year and around the world. These events are designed to foster collaboration, share expertise, and strengthen the global cybersecurity community.
Each symposium features a structured format that includes management-level discussions, technical presentations, and hands-on training sessions. Typically spanning two to three days, the agenda includes:
- Plenary Sessions: One to two full days of presentations and informal discussions tailored to the interests and challenges faced by FIRST members in the host region. These sessions often cover sensitive, operational topics relevant to the daily work of incident responders and security professionals.
- Hands-On Training: A full day of interactive workshops led by top-tier security experts. Training is delivered in small group settings to encourage active participation and practical skill development.
